This note is here so that you can make an informed decision. When a Trip Leader isn't personally familiar with a trip, there is an increased chance of things not going as planned and you need to be prepared. The Trip Leader may have additional details in the itinerary.

Itinerary:

Dunwoody Nature Center has many foot-friendly paths along heavily wooded areas, giving the feeling of really being out in the woods, despite the proximity to civilization surrounding the park.  The park isn't far off 400/Northside Drive, making it very accessible by car. Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on leash in accordance with park rules. Let's limit the number of dogs to 3.

We will meet near the steps leading to the front entrance to the main nature center building, near the parking lot. After moving to the Meadow, we'll take the bridge across Wildcat Creek, another bridge back across, and along the white trail to the Upper Meadow. Then it will be back over the creek, up a steep slope and onto the Woodland Loop Trail. We'll also complete the red trail loop, then descend into the wetlands area to experience the boardwalk.

We will finish our hike near the treehouse and we will probably check out the beehives before we leave. We will probably clock a total of around four and a half miles.
