Eleven AOC hikers enjoyed an overnight stay at Mt Leconte in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. A nice sunset, sunrise, dinner, and breakfast were included. There was rain for part of saturday, but it ended in time to view a sunset through fog at Cliff Top and a great sunrise the next morning at Myrtle Point.

Sunday was clear with great views on the hike down.  Some hikers chose the Alum Cave trail and some chose the Rainbow falls trail.

Portions of the rainbow trail passed through severe fire damage from the December 2016 fires that turned the landscape black.
