Write Up:
We had a great hike at Mount Yonah today with everyone in a jovial mood...even though it rained in the morning, we were able to get up on The Boulder and enjoy the views, as well as walk along the rock face as usual.   We took our time hiking up and just took in the scenery and enjoyed the trail talk, which included Angela's inside voice coming out and David telling us about angry hippos in Africa.   The temps were cool on the way up and then downright chilly as the sun dropped and the wind really picked up.  The sun came out quite a few times, but always retreated behind the clouds again...right before sunset time, a low cloud just socked us inside an impenetrable fog.  So we missed that a bit but had a nice hike down as the skies cleared and we could see the moon and stars.  The half moon was directly overhead and lit up the landscape quite a bit.   Jay brought a big bowl of cookies that tasted incredibly good at the end of the hike.  So we had wonderful time and it was truly a very yonah christmas.
