We had 12 strong hikers and pleasant weather for our hike on the AT Approach Trail, up the 600+ steps by the Amicalola falls, continuing up to the AT, then down to the Len Foote Inn, where we enjoyed our lunch break. It was a beautiful hike, at least until we dodged the stairs going down to our cars, which required negotiating a steep decline over gravel (mostly). Still, it didn't dampen our spirits. I think all agreed that this hike is worth repeating, even if it was a mile longer than predicted!
