Nice to join a Trip-Leader in the making this afternoon!  Such an honor, Bill.  Thanks for keeping the guys in the back safe. 

We climbed the stairway to heaven! Those wooden steps go up and up from the river.  Andrea N. mentioned these stairs a while back, but they had long been forgotten until today. They were somehow blocked from sight, but they're available now!   I recall that Angela N. used to lead hikes up those steps long ago, and it was sad when that trail was closed.  We made the climb twice, adding a special challenge to a fast-paced workout hike.

The park closed at 6:30 today, but next week (with the time change) we'll be able to get in a full two-hour hike after work. ~ Joyce
