Today, we had an awesome leisurely hike at the DunwoodyNatureCenter with trip leader Lisa S., and co-leader Erica B. Our group consisted of some of our newer hikers, Julia G., Anna P., Carla B., and Larry S., who enjoyed their second or third hike with the AOC. Additionally, several of our long time members of the AOC, Aaron R., Ayo A., Susan F., Nikki and Tim G., Adrienne G., Linda P., and Denise S., also joined us for our  for our 4 mile hike. The weather was perfect for this morning’s hike. We also found several small waterproof containers on the trail that contained hidden treasures. As a bonus, Aaron R., explained to our group that these treasures were part of the outdoor recreational activity called geocaching.  It would appear that these treasures are placed on trails in plastic containers or ammunition boxes in which people sign a logbook after finding the treasure or take the treasure and place another treasure in the box. In either case, learning about geocaching was an added bonus to our hike at the DunwoodyNatureCenter.
